Apple released a software update for the 2nd-generation Apple TV. The update fixes bugs and does not include any new features. The update addresses flickering that some users reported while watching Apple TV, problems waking up from sleep, audio issues when switching from another input and general ‘stability and performance’ fixes.
To update your Apple TV 2, go to Settings -> General -> Update Software. The update may take a few minutes to download and install.
