Rumors are going around that the “exciting” iTunes announcement is that Apple will finally be adding the Beatles catalog to the iTunes Store. Apple claims that it will be a day that I’ll never forget, but I’m pretty sure I will if this is the only news. Nothing against the Beatles, it’s just that I’ve already imported their entire recordings into my iTunes library years ago. I love the Beatles and I wasn’t going to wait for the iTunes Store to sell their songs before I could have them in my music library. I guess it’s exciting news, but it’s not a day that “you’ll never forget” news.
From WSJ:
Apple Inc. is preparing to disclose that its iTunes Store will soon start carrying music by the Beatles, according to people familiar with the situation, a move that would fill a glaring gap in the collection of the world’s largest music retailer.
